Pharmaceutical Policy

The Pet Boutique Canada is in the process of market testing in the area of pet pharmaceutical. We are currently marketing and selling a variety of pet pharmaceuticals and other health products for pets. This testing period of testing is expected to last until the end of 2021.


This policy is temporary but still binding to our customers who purchase pharmaceuticals on the Pet Boutique Canada. Please read this policy in its entirety.



Pet health care products that don’t require a prescription include such items as bandages, first-aid supplies, and many convalescence items.

Holistic pet health care products include products that are made from all natural ingredients. These items may or may not require a prescription. Such items may include such products as ointments and supplements to maintain optimal health of the pet.


Prescription pet health care products usually include medications to combat illnesses, pain, anxiety, motion sickness, etc.



The Pet Boutique Canada’s Pharmaceutical Department will be involved in selling all levels of pet health care products.


Products that require special documentation, or other information, will have those requirements clearly stated within the product’s description. These requirements may require you (the customer) to fax to us a copy of the prescription or to provide the name and contact information of the veterinarian who prescribed the medication for your pet.



Currently we can only sell pet health pharmaceuticals to customers who reside in the United States. This is because all of our suppliers and warehouses that house these products are located within the United States and transport laws prohibit the shipping of such products across international borders without specific documentation and additional fees.



All carriers within the United States require additional fees to ship any product which is classified as a pharmaceutical. The amount of extra fees charged depends on the classification of the pharmaceutical product.


To determine the cost of shipping it is necessary to add a product to your cart and then proceed to checkout. After you enter your address (and shipping address if different from your billing address) to see the final cost of shipping.



The Pet Boutique Canada will only accept returns of pharmaceuticals on a case-by-case basis. Customers must not simply return the product to us. Instead, customers must contact us through our Contact Form and request a return for a pharmaceutical product with an explicit reason for the request. Since we do not stock pharmaceuticals due to shelf lives of the various products we may not be able to accept a return.


If we can accept a return of a pharmaceutical we will issue you an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). This RMA number must appear on the return shipping label in the lower left-hand corner.


We will also provide you with a return address within the United States so that you don’t have to ship the product across the border and pay any special fees to do so.


It is also the responsibility of the customer to cover the cost of returning a pharmaceutical product. It is also require that you obtain a tracking number from your carrier and email the tracking number to You can also submit the tracking number along with your RMA number to us through our Contact Form.


Once the product has been received at the warehouse or supplier it will be inspected. Once it has been inspected and approved for refund we will issue a refund of the product cost less a restocking fee equal to 20% of the product cost (excluding shipping). Please note that we cannot refund the original shipping cost.


Products that have been opened or used are not eligible for return.



We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use any pharmaceutical product(s) will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.


We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the product(s) will be accurate or reliable.


You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the product(s) is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.


In no case shall The Pet Boutique Canada, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using our service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. And any legal claims will be settled in a court of law in the jurisdiction of the head office(s) of The Pet Boutique Canada only.



You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Pet Boutique Canada and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.



This policy is in addition to our Terms of Use Policy and is meant to supplement our already established terms and conditions for using The Pet Boutique Web site. By accepting the Terms of Use Policy you automatically accept this Pharmaceutical Policy.
